Me
Hi! My name is Ashley, and I'm the founder and owner of Sonumbra. I'm a recent graduate with a B.A. in International Studies. After graduating, I was pretty unsure about what I wanted to do with my career. The COVID pandemic was still having large impacts on the world, and I had just spent the last 1.5 years of my collegiate life doing virtual courses.
As with most people, COVID shut down a lot of my plans. I was accepted into a 2020 study abroad program for Shanghai which, of course, ended up getting cancelled. On top of that, I was graduating essentially blind. I didn't know where to apply to, what positions to apply for, or when to apply. In the end, I decided to stay another year or two in State College to figure out what I wanted to do.
I started a job in banking services right before graduating in May 2021 and have stayed in the position while working towards my goals.

As a small business, we care about you, and we care about small business! That's why any products that aren't made by Sonumbra are sourced from other small businesses.
Sonumbra
I spontaneously started an Etsy shop in the fall selling handmade journals and notebooks, but it wasn't quite what I wanted to do. After tons of research, I started Sonumbra in January 2022. The shop officially launched online in April 2022 selling decor, stickers, accessories, and stationery.
Most recently, in October 2022, I added bundles which aims to help curate a style for you. I also created "Sonumbra Vintage" which focuses on selling affordable, quality vintage and vintage-style items.
